Haleiwa, the main town on the north coast, is 24 miles north of Honolulu. It’s been a mecca for surfers from around the world since 1960, however, is not a place for novice surfers. This is an easy day trip from Waikiki.

This small island has an incredible variety of landscapes. Sculpted over six million years by the forces of nature, its landscapes ranging from spectacular cliffs of Na Pali on the north coast of the spectacular Waimea Canyon. Kaui slower pace seems more appropriate for a quiet family vacation or a rugged outdoor adventure.

The oldest and northernmost of the four main islands of Hawaii, Kauai only covers 553 miles square, is a hallmark, “” circular island with a population of 51,000 inhabitants.

Like the other Hawaiian islands, the warmest and coldest months only differ by 8 degrees or less. The sea temperature is remarkably constant, ranging between 72-76 degrees year round.

Kauai is known as the “Garden Island” because of its high population of plants. The forest is more humid climate Hawaii, and Mt. piovosoposto Wai’ale’ale is the land!

people on the island are among the friendliest in the country according to an annual survey of tourists. Two of the stations Kauai – Princeville Resort Hyatt – consistently rated among the top twenty tropical resort in a popular travel magazine.

The Grand Hyatt Kauai Resort & Spa (formerly Hyatt Regency Kauai Resort & Spa) is located on the sunny side of the island. With 602 rooms, 4 tennis courts, golf course, 5 restaurants, cocktail lounge, child care, swimming pools and spas, it is a luxury resort.

The Pinceville Kauai Resort is located on the north coast of Kauai. This is a first class resort and is always in the top of the structures of Kauai. Puu Poa Beach is a short walk from the main lawn, and the Princeville Golf Club, considered one of the best golf courses in Hawaii, sitting next to 390 acres with sea views from every hole.

However, natural beauty and the opportunity for adventure that attracts many people to the island. If you dream of hiking or kayaking in a tropical environment, located at Kauai is a great option.

The south and west coasts have long sandy beaches. And there are the majestic, wide valleys, and the Kalalau Valley on the Na Pali coast.

The scenario includes the most important and famous Waimea Canyon and Na Pali Coast cliffs. Waimea Canyon – rightly called the “Grand Canyon of the Pacific” – and Koke’e State Park in Lihue, are open all year. The canyon stretches 10 miles from the landing site famous Captain James Cook – in 1778 – to Koke’e State Park.

This canyon was the site for a number of films such as Jurassic Park and Raiders of the Lost In fact, more than two dozen Hollywood movies were filmed in Kauai!

Hiking trails in the park offer stunning views of canyons and lush “forest environment. The canyon itself is accessible for hiking, fishing and camping.

Kauai Na Pali Coast cliffs are pure, rugged beauty, with deep narrow valleys ending abruptly at the sea. Waterfalls, rapids, streams and large terraces with stone walls remain in the valley where ancient Native Hawaiians lived.

The 11-mile Kalalau road provides the only land access to this part of the coast. The trail crosses over lush valleys and cliffs and then down to sea level on the beaches of Hanakapi’ai and Kalalau.
